Vision Bank has been made aware of a phone scam circulating in our area. Scammers are calling customers while posing as the bank. They may claim there is an urgent issue and instruct you to enter a “security” or “verification” code beginning with *72 followed by a 10-digit number.
This code activates call forwarding, which redirects your incoming calls and texts to the scammer, allowing them to intercept sensitive information like authentication codes.
If you receive this request:
- Hang up immediately.
- Contact Vision Bank directly.
If you already entered the code:
Dial *73 on your phone to disable call forwarding, then contact us to review your accounts.
When in doubt, stop the conversation and call us directly. Staying cautious is one of the best ways to protect your information.
